Eggplant Vinyl & Leather Dye
Our Eggplant paint recolors and conditions vinyl or leather furniture like a dye. It is anti-UV and won’t flake, peel, crack, or stain clothing.
Eggplant is a dark purple color. In low light it looks like a warm off-black. In a well-lit room the purple tones will be more apparent.
Eggplant blends the appearance of scuffs, stains, discoloration, and fading on leather and vinyl while providing UV protection. Suitable for use on vinyl as well as pigmented and bycast leathers, it can be applied with a sponge, brush, or spray gun. For aniline leather, dilute the color with Clear Prep+Finish™ to make a transparent glaze. Eggplant permeates leather and vinyl, behaving more like a dye and less like a coating. Once dried, it will not rub off on clothing. Do not get wet until fully cured. Each bottle comes with an extra-long stir stick and gloves. Sponge not included.
We discourage color changes on bonded leather or ultraleather due to the unstable nature of these materials.

I've been considering buying a new couch because my Indigo leather one was very scraped up. I knew it would be challenging to find an eggplant-colored couch that fits in the space. As a last ditch effort, I found Rub 'n Restore and my couch looks terrific. All the scratches are gone...very happy.

I had a sofa that had discolored on the armrest where fingers touch it. I followed directions and cleaned and then used the dye - it turned out beautifully and such a good match to the existing color. I am thrilled with how good it looks.

1:1 mix of mahogany and eggplant is exact and the love seat looks brand new! I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was. I have a clay / taupe couch and love seat that have been retired to the basement. They need this too.
