Yes, it is safe for pets to use furniture after applying Rub ‘n Restore® products. However, the new finish cannot resist new damage any better than the original material did. Dog claws are particularly rough and will accelerate wear on color-changed pieces, necessitating more frequent touch-up.
There have been reports of dogs licking sofas. No dog has been injured as a result of licking Rub ‘n Restore’d furniture, but we discourage it, because it is a chemical finish.
