Mahogany Brown Dye Reviews

Mahogany leather couch color change before and after

Mahogany aniline leather jacket dye

“ An aniline leather jacket, originally black, red and grey. Dyed by me using Fiebings Pro oil black dye and black resolene top coat (before image). After removing the Fiebings pro oil dye with acetone, the jacket felt back to its original supple feel. The jacket now has five coats of mahogany rub and restore. The jacket has not changed in feel one bit. it is still very soft and pliable. It had a nice almost satin finish. Jacket did very well. Wiped bug splatter off with a damp microfiber towel and no color came off onto the rag at all. It is fair to say I am in love with your product and appreciate all the help and time you gave to a “small” job. I am really glad that your product is not like Fiebings. I like the water based aspect. There so many chemicals and junk in the Fiebings. ”

Leather recliner chair restored with Mahogany leather dye and Clear Prep+Finish. Before and after.

“I wanted to share before and after pictures of a recliner that I used your product on. The color I chose was Mahogany. I also used the Clear Prep and Finish which is a necessity, in my opinion. The chair once ready to be a 'give away' looks new again! All I can say is you have a forever customer. I am very pleased with the outcome. Hats off to YOU! I’m ready to buy more product.”

“I am very happy with the results of your products. I was not sure at first but with your instructions and willing help it was much easier that I thought. You have been most gracious and patient.... I cannot thank you enough. I have enough to do 2 or 3 more chairs. You run a good business and I give you high marks. Now I have my sister interested and she will send you a sample for a match.”

Off white leather sofa changed to Mahogany. Before and after.

“Just got my very first bottle of rub & restore!! I'm in love!! Took me about 2 hours to do my couch!! It was a cream color before. I still had half of the 16oz bottle left to start on my love seat!! I got this couch and love seat used and someone one else picked it up for me...I was so disappointed in how it looked...but after finding this project I love my couch!! Couch and love seat = $100 Rub & Restore = $60 End Result = Priceless!! $160 invested...can't beat that!!!”

Photo of blog post demonstrating color change of off white vinyl or leather furniture to mahogany. Before and after.

“I am SOOOOO happy with the results and it was simple. It did take a little muscle to get into the cracks (the cushions on this set do not come off so getting down in the cracks took some work but I got a good arm workout). Anyone can do this. I can't believe someone charges $3000 for this. I got it done in one day. It dries in minutes and is ready for the next coat. Because it was a dramatic change, it took about 5 coats...but it was fast and easy. This will NOT rub off on your clothing when it is dry and sat on it 15 minutes after dyeing it.”

“Recently stumbled across a product called Rub ‘n Restore, Inc. We were looking for decent furniture for our college cuties and their roommates. The girls have champagne taste on a beer budget as my dad would say. So we found 3 living room pieces on Craigslist for $200 - SCORE. They were leather, in good shape, no weird smells, no rips, cushions were all firm and comfy. The sofa had a stained cushion and some water damage from the owner using the wrong products to try to clean it, the chair was just older and starting to show cracking and some fading. This is the before and after. We chose to do all three pieces in the Mahogany color after trying the Camel color and determining that darker was the look we were going for. Everyone is thrilled!”

Green leather loveseat changed to mahogany and clear coated. Before and after.

“We purchased rub and restore to help refinish our hideous green leather love seat recliner and recliner. I honestly didn't expect it to work as well as it did. The pictures speak for themselves and we are now keeping our furniture instead of replacing it! It looks even better in person than what I can capture on camera. Everyone is very impressed with the results.”
