This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Rub 'n Restore, Inc. collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the www.rubnrestore.com website ("Site"). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Rub 'n Restore, Inc.

Users may visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities (like a purchase).

Essential information we collect

If you have completed a purchase, we will send you a follow-up email to ask you to review the product you bought. We want to be sure that whether you love your purchase or have a complaint, you can share your opinion with other customers.


We also use some specific information related to your visit, such as the timestamp of your visit, the page or the product you viewed, where you are coming from (if you came to our store because you clicked on an advertisement or you just opened our direct link). This is very similar to the “essential information,” but we use it to provide you with a personalized experience. The information on your visit provides us with insights on your interests and allows us to improve our Site and services. We capture this information through cookies, called a "beacon," that we allow you to block.

We use Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Google Shopping to track User experience, demographics, and advertise in Google searches.

We also use a third-party app called Affiliately, which rewards affiliates (mostly former customers) with a commission for every sale they send our way. This is accomplished by a tracking pixel attached to a unique URL which follows the User from their site or blog to ours.

We also MailChimp to manage our newsletter and subscriber list. You can choose to subscribe to the newsletter via our blog or during the checkout process. How do we process your information?

We use an external provider to run our store, BigCommerce. BigCommerce is based in the US and is a participant in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and committed to providing best-in-class service and data protection. You can check its participation in the Privacy Shield here on the official site of The International Trade Administration (ITA), U.S. Department of Commerce.

● Payment: Our store is PCI-DSS compliant (a very strict industry standard with requirements for the security of credit card information), but we want to use accredited companies to process your credit card information. Authorize.net provides our secure payment gateway. Credit cards are processed by Platinum Payment Systems. We never see or store credit card information. Users also have the ability to use PayPal.

● Shipping: ​We use ShippingEasy to integrate our online store with UPS and USPS in order to fulfill your orders.

How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. Our Site is also in compliance with PCI vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for Users.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and Users with trusted affiliates and Google Analytics and Adwords for the purposes outlined above. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters and processing shipments. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.

How can you control your personal data?

If you are one of our customers who is in the EU, and we are specifically selling our products to the Member State where you are located, you have specific rights that we are honored to enforce without undue delay: Access, Correct, Erasure, Port, Object. How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data for as long as you have an account with us. We also keep some data for security investigation. Most importantly, we have specific obligations for fraud detection and tax reasons.
