Unboxing to Finished
An expedient delivery, making wise use of resources and sustainable products. When I opened the box, there was a stamp indicating that even the packing peanuts matter, made from corn starch and fully biodegradable. Rub n Restore has already helped save the environment by allowing the user to restore furniture and other goods, saving the landfill. Take a look at before, during, and after. The whole process took less than 2 hours.
Remarkable!
I am happy to report that my weekend project of bringing a favorite piece of furniture back to life is visually a success. The chair looks new. I was patient and did the cleaning as advised, and did 3 thin coats, finishing with the color and coating as a final finish mix. The chair is still curing, but we think it looks beautiful and for the low cost and ease of this product, it certainly seems worth it.

Amazing product
I used this on a ancient set of furniture in our work lounge. The pieces turned out great. Two years later and they still look fantastic despite very very heavy use. Slight fading but I didn’t seal the color during application because I thought that red coming through later on would look neat. Love the eggplant color. Also got way more coverage out of the product than expected.
The sage/white ratio was a great match for my leather lazy boy recliner!

First the good: this product goes on easy and looks absolutely phenomenal after the initial application. The color blends well and makes my couch look brand new.
The bad: even after being allowed to cure for a full two weeks, the color starts to rub off in high wear areas after a month or so. The attached photos are about 6 weeks after product application.
Every month or two I have to go re-touch up my couch to get it looking nice again. I've gone through an entire 8oz. bottle in a little under 8 months.
If the color were more permanent, this product would get a perfect 5 stars from me. As it stands, it's about 2.5.

She took a great deal of time and care suggesting various solutions and ideas. She also kindly offered a few free swatches and product samples to experiment with and see what worked best for me.
I ended up going with a somewhat lighter color which is closer to the base color, so that any wear is less immediately noticeable. That combined with the Satin Sealer product has made the finish on my couch MUCH more durable. Where before the product would only last for a couple weeks before needing a touchup, it's now a couple months, and requires far less product. Considering there are 2 little kids and 3 large dogs abusing it daily, I'd say those results are more than acceptable.I can't imagine that any product is going to perform much better, given the conditions we're inflicting on it.

Hi Patrick, touch-up may be necessary on color changes, which is why we suggest a mottling technique, particularly on non-absorbent leathers. It may be that the leather needed more aggressive cleaning or stripping. Adding more foam or batting to cushions and pillow to plump them up will reduce stress on the leather and your efforts. We'd be happy to troubleshoot the issue with more information like was the leather absorbent, what did you use to clean, did painters' tape adhere, are dogs using the couch every day?

So easy to use with great coverage. Two coats changed the colors on the loveseat and ottoman. Garage sale seperates now look like a matching set!

This stuff is amazing attached are the before and after pictures and it was so easy to do. If you follow the instructions on pamphlet’s and the videos they have online it’s smooth sailing. Loved the product and the fact that I can change the color if I don’t like the outcome is the best part.

I started this week long project transforming my faded red chairs and ottomans to the walnut color.
I got a great result, but what made it challenging was the gazillion nail head tacks. First I removed them, but soon became weary of that. I ordered the angled artist brush from your website and it proved to make working around the nail heads a lot easier. Thank goodness I’m finally finished and very pleased with the result!

Revived Club Chairs
I started this week long project transforming my faded red chairs and ottomans to the walnut color.
I got a great result, but what made it challenging was the gazillion nail head tacks. First I removed them, but soon became weary of that. I bought some kids chairs when grand kids was just babies and wanted to updated look and found rub n restore. This stuff is amazing for giving old furniture new look . My husband thought I bought new chairs for them .

I Just ordered more clear prep finish so I can do the sections of the couch that I "thought" already looked fine! HA! The instructions were simple and I was able to customize my own color with the mahogany and black that were recommended by you (1:1 parts + 1:1 of the clear prep + finish). I didn't realize how glossy my sofa already was. THANK YOU for the amazing instructions and for including plastic gloves in the product shipment! Amazing stuff!!! Makes me want to buy an old couch and flip it .
