 OUR POLICY

Orders may take up to two business days to be filled, but we typically process them same-day if the order is placed before 2 pm MST on weekdays (excluding holidays). As soon as we ship your order, you will receive an automated email from info@rubnrestore.com with your tracking number.

 

CARRIERS

All orders of colored dyes, Clear Prep+Finish and Flite leather cleaner are shipped via UPS which only delivers to physical addresses. If you provide a PO/APO/FPO box, your order will be delayed until we are able to contact you.

Orders that contain only non-liquid products: leather and vinyl repair kits, FC1 Leather Filler, sponges, palette knives, smoothing cards, sandpaper, and steel wool will be shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail. 

 

RATES

Our Free Shipping and Subsidized Shipping options are UPS Ground for domestic orders or Canada Standard to our northern neighbor. Orders containing non-liquid and hazardous items (FC1 Leather Filler, sponges, palette knives, smoothing cards, sandpaper, and steel wool) are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail. Canadian customers, please read more here.

To qualify for free shipping, your order must meet a certain minimum based upon its destination:

  • $45 within the continental USA
  • $75 to Canada & Puerto Rico
  • $99 to Alaska & Hawaii 

Color analysis or customization fees and sales tax do not count toward free shipping minimums.

 

SHIPPING QUOTES

To calculate a shipping quote, please add the desired products to your shopping cart (each color has a different weight which affects the quote). Click on "View or Edit Cart". Underneath the subtotal, click on the button "Estimate Shipping & Tax". Enter your country, state/province, and postal code, and the system will give you a quote.

 

CANADIAN CUSTOMERS

Despite Rub 'n Restore being an "arts and crafts" item made in the USA and registered with NAFTA, the Canadian government levies duties and taxes. We encourage Canadian customers to check with the Canada Border Services Agency to determine what duties and taxes will be assessed. Rub 'n Restore, Inc. is not responsible for these duties or taxes.

If you opted for free shipping (Canada Standard), UPS assumes power-of-attorney for individual buyers (not businesses). This means they assess you a brokerage fee for doing what you can do yourself at your local CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) office. These brokerage fees are included with all express/expedited shipments. For orders under C$200, there is a flat-rate brokerage fee of $10 for individual buyers. 
 
You can avoid the brokerage fee if you contact UPS, give them the tracking number, and say you choose to clear the goods yourself with CBSA, thereby refusing their accounting/brokering services. When you visit your local CBSA office, be sure to provide them with specific details, including the courier (UPS), the tracking number, and a description of the goods and their value, so they can correctly assess the goods. This information is usually indicated on the shipment’s invoice, which will be provided to you by UPS. When you have paid the any applicable duties and/or taxes, you will be given an official receipt from CBSA demonstrating that the goods have been accounted for. Present this receipt to UPS at the warehouse where your shipment is stored (usually not far from the CBSA office), and your package will be released to you.
 
 

OTHER INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

 
Customers outside North America should expect to pay US$75-$110 in shipping, not including government taxes. Even so, our international customers find this expense to be well worth the final result and ultimately less costly than reupholstery or replacement.
