    The ugly tear is gone!

I’m pleased with the results. I tried another leather filler product with decent reviews that offered free shipping, but it peeled after a few weeks even though I had used a sub patch and followed instructions. I then ordered Rub N Restore soft filler, and it worked very well. I followed the exact instructions included & watched the video several times. I had to sand & clean off some of the old filler using acetone, then applied the new Soft Filler from RNR. I did sand & clean off the soft filler a few times to do it over because of not being patient about letting it cured before fidgeting with the results. I finally finished after several thin layers and waiting until the next day before trying to retouch! It turns out the filler gets more translucent & blended as it cures. I then applied a light coat of the color filler from the other kit I had (Cocomix)using a small piece from a clean silver polishing sponge. Again, I had to make myself wait until it was completely dry and cured before giving it a light sanding with the fine sanding paper (600) & carefully blending with a light coat of isopropyl alcohol per instructions included with the Rub N Restore Soft Filler. I may still add another layer to get a complete cover up.

Friends tell me this is a $2000 couch. Your kit makes it nearly new again. You are simply amazing. Your videos are well thought out and very inspiring. Hated to see you take out a knife and cut clean leather. Then astounded when I saw how you repaired it. Yes, this can be done by mere mortals. One needs to watch the videos. Take notes. See what works. Take more notes. Watch more videos by Lesandre. For this, I got a sense of what to do as I went along. It's DIY!!! Yet. Lesandre is there NICELY to comment on emails. Couchman  / Client for Life!! - you are so nice to give pointers. Couldn't have done this without you!!

Your products really do the job!  My leather sofa repair came out better than I expected.

The product is very expensive for the amount you receive. Also was not informed that duties and customs are not included when shipped to canada. I purchased the larger container of the compound. There was not enough to repair 4 dining chair seat cushions. All showing wear on the leather. I had enough for only 2 of the seat cushions. I am using a leather paint to change the colour. After painting the chairs the wearing was still noticeable. In the end I went to home depot. Bought paintable caulking, smoothed out the wearing parts painted, sanded them painted again. The chairs look great and only paid $10 for the caulking as opposed to the Rub n Restore order of 1. Scraping tool, 2. Patch kit and 3. Compound. Which cost me $89 with US exchange, then another $37.80 in COD with arrival of the product.

WOW, Amazing, Unbelievable only a few adjectives to describe how great this leather sofa turned out. A perfect custom color match and an easy two step process thanks to your step by step video. My husband and I are thrilled. I am so happy I found your company on the internet. Much success to a great mother/daughter team.

I received the Soft Filler and I think it’s great. I applied several very thin layers to the mesh substrate where the vinyl had cracked and flaked off and made sure there was good adhesion with the remaining vinyl fragments. I only removed a few small pieces that were peeling away. I allowed each layer to dry and very lightly scuffed the final coat with 600 to ensure it was smooth.   While I was tempted to try and texture the finish I was satisfied with the way it turned out and made a custom color dye to reasonably match the surrounding seat material. I’ve attached before and after photos. The lighting wasn’t great but I’m very pleased with the way it turned out and hope that the repair holds up to the wear it’s going to see. Thanks again for your advice and videos.   I give the product two thumbs up.

I used your products to restore my couch and loveseat, and they turned out beautifully!! At first I only ordered products to repair a ragged tear on the seat expecting that to go poorly. Instead, it patched up nicely so I ordered primer and dye in Ivory. I'm so amazed at how beautifully this turned out and so are my friends and family. Thank you.

Just wanted to say thanks for making a great product.   It took some trial and error, but we love the way the couch looks and feels now.   The cushions even feel firmer.   Thanks a bunch!!

Great, easy to use and easy instructions.

When it dried the filler compound is peeling making it difficult to sand and finish as directed. There seems to be no way to remove and start over.

Believe I tried 3 different products. They either would not cure or made a total mess. Finally I came upon Rub and Restore's Compound. The product worked like a charm. Thank you!

I did NOT have success with this product. I was very disappointed that it did not achieve the look that the company said it would. :( I have a leather couch with small worn areas with little cracking in the leather.

I bought a nice leather recliner that had a rip in one arm. The FC-1 soft filler did a great job of making the tear go away. The best thing about this product is the wealth of online video information about how to use it. First try and it looks quite professional. Thanks!

I bought a western saddle and it had damage to the seat. It had two holes in the seat and I could see someone tried to fill them with some kind of filler. I found your YouTube video and watched it several times to see if the Soft Filler might work on a saddle. Well it did and I can say I’m so glad I bought the filler and followed all the directions. It took five applications to get the holes filled. I did let the filler dry in the sun and waited 24hrs to apply the next application. I just need to die that section of the seat to blend in with the saddle. Great product well worth the money.

I just wanted to say that the chair repair went very well. You can't even tell unless you get right up on it, and even then, it still looks fine. I couldn't be happier. This saved us hundreds of dollars, and kept really comfortable chairs from ending up in the landfill. Thank you so much for your help and kindness.

The stuff is the best leather repair I've ever used but I've noticed that instead of using a sponge to smooth it out what's your fingers and smooth it out with your fingers Works twice as good

I was using the leftovers from a friend who ordered the leather repair products from a company in Canada. I liked the repair compound or filler just fine. It worked well up to the point in my repair that I needed more. But I ran out of repair compound from the other company before my job was done, and I didn't want to wait so long (my friend said it took a couple weeks to get. So I found Rub-n-Restore and ordered the repair compound. Omygosh, I cannot tell you how much better this product is. The product from Canada was only a month old, so it wasn't because it was expiring. The Rub-n-Restore filler was so much easier to to work with and to get to look smooth without sanding so much! And the price through Rub-n-Restore was very affordable. Plus I got the filler in the mail two days after I ordered it! The repair compound was high quality and made my repair look great! And the customer service was excellent! Thank you Rub-n-Restore!

I was able to patch, fill and blend together 4:1 cherrywood:rust to match my oxblood red sofa. For $150 I'm now able to save a three piece set that cost $2500. You're products are great thank you so much.

I have done several chairs and repair projects and am thrilled with the quality and ease of application. I have another chair waiting now to be “changed” and know it will turn out as well as all the others.

I can't believe how easy this product is to work with. My patches in my vinyl seats are barely noticeable!

Attached are photos of my completed weekend project. I just finished putting the clear coat on this morning (I waited 2 days as you suggested). I am thrilled with the results and the custom color! I have plenty of Soft filler left to use later on as the sofa continues to show signs of love and use. Thank you again for your support and encouragement. I really couldn't have done it without you! I am eternally grateful.

Two applications so far and it's working well. I'm saving my 25-year-old leather couches from the dumpster. They had tears and a lot of cracking. Patched the tears first, then applied this filler, then the leather paint. It's working well, but will take a few more applications to make it completely smooth. All-in-all, I'm very please with the product. For $100 investment, it's worth it to keep the couches for a couple more years.

Easy to use just like repairing drywall. My wife couldn't believe that I could save my Leather Recliner. Very little work and mess. I give it ten thumbs up.

Easy to use, great product, quick shipping! Looks great and I'm hoping it holds up because it sure looks good at the repair site.

The FC1 soft leather filler did a great job filling large defects and cracks. Worked well and easy to use. I am very satisfied with the result.

I used FC1 Soft Leather Filler to fill in a cracked area on the side of the chair. The area was roughly 3 x 2 inches and had several thin surface cracks which had not went all the way through to the base layer. I worked the filler into the cracks, 4 thin coats, and then applied the dye. I can no longer see the cracks and the area feels more supple, not brittle anymore.

I bought this product to repair a hole on a vintage vinyl ottoman. It was very easy to work with and it did exactly what it said it would do. I saved a ton of money doing it myself, fantastic product!

I had tried another product which had not worked very well. I then did some more research and found this filler and used it to repair a faux leather sectional. It worked as described and I am extremely pleased with the results. It is easy to use and dries to a flexible finish. I used a leather vinyl paint after the repair and it has blended in to give an exact match. I would certainly use this again.

I've tried some other brands, but love this filler the best! Easy to use and dries quickly.

I tried other products from different companies before I found Rub n Restore. They didn't come with a filler compound which is just one of the reasons why they didn't work. Can't say enough about this filler compound. Filled in the hole so I was able to dye and save a very expensive leather couch.

I had a 4 inch hole in my couch thanks to my dog and didn't want to replace the $900 piece. Your product filled the hole, stain was perfect. I had trouble smoothing the filling but no one notices it but me.

Easy to use. Only negative is that it is hard to get a smooth finish.

I just wanted to let you know my leather couches turned out great!!! My patch job isn't as good as yours, but it looks dang good. The couches are almost 20 years old and they look new again. I never thought it would be this easy to repair leather furniture..I'm So happy!!! Thanks again for helping me.

It took very long to dry. When it was finally dry, it was tacky to the touch and didn't sand well. I was not very happy with the results

I used 2oz this product to fill large holes and to texture a 3 piece set. It looks and feels great. Nobody can believe how great the couches and chair turned out. I'm very happy and would recommend this product.

Took a chance and ordered this to try to fix a peeling bonded leather sofa. I had 2 cushions that had extensive peeling on the front half of them. Ordered 2, 1 oz jars. Glad I did, as I needed most of that! Skimmed the surface with this, and re-did parts as needed. It dried pliable and filled in cracks. Just had a problem after it dried, as it says to lightly sand if needed, but the marks didn't sand out. Recommend reallllly making sure you have a smooth surface after your application. So happy with this product!

Hi Lesandre and CC: Got the 'slate' and 'stone' dyes (along with the patching compound) yesterday. 2 words: 'WOW' and 'THANKS'. Both the sofa and chair (approx. 15 years old) literally look brand new. Unfortunately, I didn't take 'before' pictures, but the transformations are truly incredible. You're selling a phenomenal product (but you already knew that)!!!

Thanks for all your help. The best match ended up being the rust and cherrywood. I first did a layer of rust, then a layer of cherrywood, and then added a glaze of both mixed with the clear prep finish and the result is awesome! I only painted the 3 seat cushions, the back cushions and arm rests are the original color. Thank you again.
